Administrative Assistant - Political Department

Reports to: Political Action Committee Director
Summary: Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Political Department work. Responsibilities include but are not limited to processing vendors expenses, opening and picking up mail, copying, scanning, filing, and the day-to-day tasks of the Department.
Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Knowledge of accounts payable and account receivable.
- Assist with processing all vendors expenses in Intacct and Concur
- Process checks by copying, scanning, and recording in accounting system
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to track activities and expenses
- Open, organize, and date mail
- Assist with processing contribution check requests
- Sort and file monthly PAC reports for distribution to Affiliates
- Carry out day-to-day administrative tasks.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- College Degree or equivalent work experience
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment during election campaign season
- Ability to quickly learn database systems.
- Highly motivated, proactive, responsive, and conscientious
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook. (knowledge of QuickBooks and Intacct a plus but not required)
- At least 3 years of administrative experience

Location: 275 7th Avenue, New York, NY
Salary: $31.00-$32.00/hour – commensurate with experience
Schedule: 35 hours/week, Monday-Friday
