Social Justice Union Organizers:

In this time of economic crisis, be a part of a movement of low wage workers that is confronting corporate greed and mistreatment of workers, raising the standards of service sector jobs, and winning dignity and respect on the job through solidarity and action.

UNITE HERE is a progressive labor union, fighting for dignity, living wages and affordable health care for low wage workers.  Our members - many of them African-Americans, Latino and Asian immigrants, and women - work in the casinos and gaming, hotel, food service, laundry, manufacturing, retail and distribution industries

We are known throughout the labor movement and progressive communities for our innovative and effective campaigns utilizing corporate campaign strategies and impressive grassroots mobilization of workers and community allies to win justice.  

Through organizing and winning good contracts, UNITE HERE members have made hundreds of thousands of traditionally low-wage jobs into good, family-sustaining, middle class jobs.

Requirements:

• Commitment to fight for justice and organize the unorganized.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual Spanish and other languages desired.  
• Willingness to work long and irregular hours.
• Valid driver's license.
